Citrus Lane September 2014 Box Review

We received one of our two Citrus Lane boxes this week, and it was a big hit with both mama and little one. Since we already have a bunch of baby things, we ordered this box for a two and a half year old, with the expectation that the kids would grow into it.

Citrus Lane September 2014 Box

Red Shape Sorting Clock from Melissa and Doug ($14.99, Target; $14.99 in blue/yellow, Amazon). This is a nice wooden learning clock that can be used for learning to tell time, matching shapes, counting, and talking about colors. Alexis isn’t quite ready to tell time yet, but she does love sorting the shapes and identifying the numbers. I think this will be a very useful toy to have when we do start working on telling time.

Pieces Foam Bath Puzzle from Boon ($9.99, Amazon). This fun bath toy includes foam puzzle pieces that float, are waterproof, and stick to the tub when wet. I think actually puzzle solving may be awhile in coming, but I suspect we will find other creative ways to play with these puzzle pieces during bath time.

Little Red Hen Book and CD Set from Barefoot Books ($8.99, Amazon). This book is a bright, colorful, beautifully illustration version of the classic story. New books are always welcome in this house. It even includes a bread recipe in the back, and a CD of Debra Messing telling the story.

Cinnamon Crunch from Somersault Snacks ($.87/oz, Amazon). Alexis and I ate these right away, and we enjoyed the cinnamon flavor–they tasted a lot like cinnamon rolls. In addition to being tasty, I liked that each one ounce serving contains 6 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber. Protein and fiber are two things I am extra careful about including in our diet, and this snack does well with both. The box also included a coupon code to save 15% off an order from Somersault Snack Co.

In addition to the toys, book, and snack, the box included a special code for a free Citrus Lane box ($29.00).

As usual, I’m pleased with the box Citrus Lane sent us. The items are good quality from brands I love, and they were all very well received by my daughter. Without a coupon code, one box costs $29.00. The value of the items in this box was $63.84. Definitely a good deal, considering everything is something we’ll use and probably would have considered buying separately.

Just so you know, the links in this post to Citrus Lane and the specific items are affiliate links. If you decide you want to try a box, clicking on my affiliate link will save you 50% off your box, and it will save me $20, too. Everybody wins!
