I enjoyed my November box from Citrus Lane so much, I went ahead and signed up for the December box. It was a good decision.
What’s in the Box?
This month’s box was almost an all-around win.
Pearhead Baby Hanging Keepsake ($15.00 on Amazon)
Perfect for Christmas, the little kit had everything we needed to make a sweet little ornament of Alexis’ handprint. It was easy to do, and I really liked being able to roll it out several times to try again to get the perfect hand print. Once you’re satisfied with your print, you let it air dry for a couple days and you’re done.
Chewbeads Skinny Charles Bangles ($19.50 on Amazon)
I was just thinking some teething jewelry might be handy, so these were extra timely. Silicone bracelets that are safe for baby to chew on, and in pretty colors, too. We tried them out right away, and Alexis was happy to chew and drool all over them. I liked that I had something on my wrist to give her when she needed, instead of looking all over for a teether. She got two teeth for Christmas, so these were definitely immediately useful.
Tiny Love Eli Elephant ($7.33 on Amazon)
Alexis loves her Tiny Love elephant– the bright colors are very appealing. I clipped it on to her activity gym, and she loved grabbing at it. She hasn’t quite figured out how to pull it down and activate it’s jiggling herself yet, but she loves when I do it for her.
Mommy’s Bliss Gripe Water ($9.70 on Amazon)
This was the one thing in the box I wasn’t too excited about. We tried gripe water early on, and never noticed any effect. I’m not sure if it actually does anything, or if it’s the all powerful placebo effect at work (for the parents administering it, not the babies.) But now I have this big bottle of gripe water, which would be awesome if I thought it worked, and I’m not sure what to do with it.
479 Popcorn Fleur de Sel Caramel ($1.99, get a 12-pack on Amazon for $19.10)
This was a tasty treat. I enjoyed it. It’s the sort of thing I’d probably never buy for myself, and that’s one of my favorite types of gifts to receive. And I do look at the Citrus Lane box as a box full of gifts, paid for or not.
Ecomom Gift Voucher
This one was pretty awesome. Extra awesome, I think, by accident. This wasn’t a coupon, it was $15 to spend on anything at Ecomom. I say it was extra awesome, because there were two of these vouchers in my box, I’m guessing by accident, as it would be easy to pick up two slips of paper when you meant to pick up one. Accident or not, thanks, Citrus Lane, I loved these. I used them to purchase a couple of fancy wood toys for Alexis. A $15 wood toy, for $2.99 shipping? Not bad.
As with the November box, I definitely felt this box was a good deal. I paid $22.50 for the December box, but got $83.52 worth of goodies. Even if I don’t count the gripe water, this was an amazing value. I love that Citrus Lane boxes include things that are almost entirely useful to me, good quality, and stylish.
